Catherine Brereton
Program Coordinator
Catherine is a Gaines alumna who returned to the Center by way of the UK Anthropology Department. In addition to her work in Gaines, Catherine serves on UK's nonmedical IRB board and runs an alumni reading group for the Chellgren Center. In her spare time, Catherine enjoys anything creative; she’s a published creative nonfiction writer with several awards under her belt, and will happily attempt all things crafty. She’s recently taken up weight lifting and running. She lives in Lexington with her wife, Susan, and has two grown daughters. Home is populated by three cats and one feisty white leghorn chicken called Freeda, all of whom she will gladly talk about with very little prompting.
